Hilario Duran's quartet mesmerized a capacity crowd at Al Green Theatre with an effortless combination of technique and finesse.

The concert and fundraiser was appropiately billed Havana Nights as the evening echoed the rhythms and spirit of Cuba.

Hilario Duran has made a name for himself in Canada and around the world as an innovative jazz musician and pianist. Duran has won two Juno awards and over a dozen National Jazz Awards in Canada throughout his career.

The evening featured guest vocalist Adis Gonzalez and the audience was treated to a masterful collection of jazz, big band, cha cha and mambo music.

Toronto Bloor Subway Line Birthday Bash | Dainty Smith | Toronto Event Photography

The Artists' Newsstand at Chester subway station celebrated the Bloor line's 50th birthday.  The celebration featured live performances, music, art, prizes balloons and cake.  

The Artists' Newsstand was created by Jess Dobkin, showcasing local artists, writers and performers in a previously dormant newsstand at Chester subway station.

DJ Nik Red entertained the crowd with music and the celebration concluded with a family friendly burlesque performance by Dainty Smith.

The Bloor subway line opened in February 25, 1966 and is over 28 km long from Kipling station to Kennedy station.

Juan Luis Guerra and 4.40 performed at Powerade Centre, Brampton for the first time ever in Toronto as part of the 'Todo Tiene Su Hora' tour.

The Dominican artist has sold over 30 million records worldwide and has won 18 Latin Grammy Awards, 2 Grammy Awards and 2 Latin American Billboard Music Awards.

Juan Luis Guerra has produced numerous bachata and merengue influenced songs including Bachata en Fukuoka, Me Enamore, La Llave De Mi Corazon, Mi Bendicion, El Niaga En Bicicleta, Palomita Blanca, Burbujas De Amor,  Como Yo and Ojala Que Llueva Cafe.
