Governor General visits TO 2015 Pan Am Games | Toronto Event Photography

June 19, 2015 (Toronto, ON) - David Johnston, Governor. General of Canada, visited the Toronto 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games uniform distribution and accreditation centre at 5800 Yonge Street on June 19, 2015.

Johnston was greeted by Saäd Rafi, chief executive officer of the Toronto 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games Organizing Committee.

The Gov. Gen. followed the accreditation process that volunteers, staff and suppliers will also be following.

The Toronto 2015 Pan American Games continued to build momentum and here are some highlights by the numbers:

  • Canada set a record for the number of medals won at Pan American games
  • Over one million tickets sold
  • Tourist spending in downtown Toronto increased 7.5% compared to last year
